Our mission is to design and implement comprehensive educational
programs that are reflective of the Massachusetts Common Core of
Learning and the State Curriculum frameworks.
We want to prepare Nelson Place students to be self-directed,
life-long learners, skilled communicators, and critical and
creative thinkers. Our students will be respectful, self-sufficient,
and responsible contributors to the community and society.

Nelson Place is a community of learners where all children, parents,
and staff members are motivated to grow and to learn. The atmosphere
promotes a spirit of the joy of learning and strives to provide tolerance,
understanding, and acceptance of each and every child. Students are more
creative and critical thinkers who are prepared to experience and utilize
future advances in education.
