Mission Statement
Clark Street Developmental Learning School is committed to providing our culturally diverse school community rich and meaningful learning experiences by offering a nurturing, caring, yet challenging environment. Clark Street School provides multiple ways of acquiring and expressing knowledge, based on developments in educational research, which prepare members of the school community to succeed in a highly changing technological world. Our mission is to develop the skills and sense of citizenship necessary for the lifelong learning process.
Vision Statement
We envision a harmonious community of respectful, responsible and resourceful learners. Children, teachers, parents and community members are immersed in the interactive process of learning designed to support a school where structure and freedom co-exist. All learners have the opportunity to meet and collaborate, raise questions, share experiences, build knowledge and pursue special areas of interest.

We envision an integrated curriculum in which children read, write and reflect across all disciplines incorporating technologies into their daily learning experiences. Using traditional and innovative/alternative ways of measuring student progress, we plan to give children a variety of ways to express their knowledge.

We envision a school where class size remains consistent with current research and supports the multiple learning styles and developmental levels of all students.
