Burncoat High School is committed to educating students to become responsible citizens, who are prepared to function in the complexity of today"s rapidly changing world.

Burncoat High School provides a comprehensive program of study in which a culturally diverse population can achieve academic excellence. The program of studies employs technological advancements and includes a Performing & Visual Arts Magnet, a Agribusiness/Horticulture Program, and Air Force JROTC.

Burncoat High School recognizes various learning styles enabling all students to achieve a common set of skills and knowledge based on the Massachusetts Common Core of Learning.

The Burncoat community is committed to preparing students to become productive members of society, who are ready to join the community as lifelong learners and contributors. Students are encouraged to develop high personal standards and values which are necessary in a democratic society.

The Burncoat family of students, teachers, administrators, staff, parents, and community members work together to make decisions which effectively accommodate the changing needs of the school and the community.

Burncoat High School supports the four strategic goals of the Worcester school system:
