| This is the capstone course for apprentices in preparation for the Journeyman’s state license examination. Journeyman license preparation will be a challenging course that requires in-depth knowledge of electrical principles and applied practices, as well as an understanding of the laws and regulations governing electrical installations. All prerequisite courses must be completed. This is a continuation of course 4A utilizing the following textbooks which are required: Stallcup’s 2005 Journeyman Electrician’s Study Guide (NFPA 1-800-344-3555) and the current edition of the Massachusetts Electrical Code or the National Electrical Code with the Massachusetts Electrical Code Amendments. |

| This course will follow the principles established by the Board of State Examiners of Electricians for apprentices in preparation for the Journeyman’s State License Examination. The course will cover the required industrial wiring methods. For example: generators, transformer calculations, industrial motors single phase and three phase, horsepower calculations, over current protection, sizing of circuit breakers, fuses, and disconnects etc., as well as an extensive application of schematic (wiring) diagram reading and a comprehensive knowledge of motor control circuitry. |

| Paralegal Practice and Introduction to Law II is a continuation of Paralegal Practice Part 1. It is a comprehensive program identifying other areas of Paralegal Practice in specialized area of law. It is a 12 qwee/24 session program that will introduce the student to Consumer Law, Immigration law, Probate, Estate and personal Injury.
Students will be required to prepare and complete the following:
• Probate Documents, including a Will, Health Care Proxy and Durable Power of Attorney
• Petition for probate of Will or Administration

Process of Law Office Management for the Paralegal working for a sole practitioner will be explored.

Autodesk Inventor is a mechanical design, assembly-constraint, three dimensional and two dimensional drawing production software system.
During this course, you will explore Autodesk Inventor advanced modeling tools, assemblies, adaptively, presentations, and additional file management techniques.
You will also see a demonstration as to how 3D models are taken from the computer to 3D dimension ® printer to make a rapid prototype in ABS plastic material.

| Paralegal Practice and Introduction to Law is a comprehensive program in preparation for an entry-level position in the legal field. It is an intensive 12-week/24 session program designed to give the student the fundamentals of law office paralegal practice. The curriculum integrates lectures, practical creation and application of legal forms/documents, and guest attorneys in specific areas of law.
Students will be required to create and complete Divorce Documents, Bankruptcy Petition, Real Estate forms for Buyer, Seller and Lender Mortgage Closing Packages, Small Claims Forms and process.
Students will be evaluated by testing and must successfully complete the entire program and receive a passing grade in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.

| OBJECTIVE: The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires licensing of construction supervisors. Applicants for this license are required to take an open book examination based upon the Sixth Edition of the State Building Code. The purpose of this course is to acquaint students with the organization and presentation of the State Building Code in preparation for taking the unrestricted license examination. The course will review each chapter of the Building Code, review and highlight operational aspects of the Building Code, and provide applicants with an introduction to examination procedures. Those interested in this course should have at least two years of full time employment experience in the construction industry or appropriate vocational school education. This course is not intended for the restricted license for one and two family residential construction.
Required Materials: Copy of 780 CMR State Building Code, Sixth Edition and Seventh Edition (one and two family). The Building Code can be ordered through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Bookstore online for approximately $35.00 per edition plus shipping. Please plan for one week delivery time. Students should also bring to class Hi-liter markers in two colors and a package of Post-it-note index tabs. |
