Lin Hultgren, American Council on Exercise certified fitness instructor, aka "Shiva!" former dance professional has infused this ancient art form with a new vitality and vigor, elevating it to the level of fitness and fun. This unique class provides an excellent cardio workout in addition to upper, lower and core body conditioning. Come Shimmy Away the Stress of the Day!!! You will be glad you did. | This form of dancing is suitable for all ages, shapes and sizes. Arabic dancing will tone up your waist, hips, thighs, abdomen and improve your posture, stamina, co-ordination, flexibility, femininity and self-esteem. These 8 week sessions will offer you a better understanding of the culture, music, dance and tradition of the Middle East. So, bring your questions along and come to a class of exploration, dance and fun. This is an exercising course. Wear something comfortable, no tight jeans/high heels, please. You can dance either bare foot or wear dance shoes or plimsoles. Bring along a scarf (no coins) big enough to wrap around your hips. |
